Records Management System Review, September 2017

In 2017 OPC began an investigation to determine whether Charlottetown Police Service (CPS) was in compliance with a ministerial directive dated March 31st, 2014 regarding its records management system. A review of the CPS records management system was carried out by personnel from the Operational Records Management Section (ORMS) of the RCMP ‘ L’ Division in September 2017 and received full cooperation of the CPS staff. This report was shared with CPS and they were asked to reply in writing, which they did.

The ORMS report concluded that CPS is in compliance with the Directive to operate on PROS as its Records Management System.
